Cryptaspasma (Afrospasma) phycitinana Aarvik, 2005. Norwegian Journal of Entomology 51(2004): 194.
Holotype male. Label data (3): " Coll. Mus. Tervuren, Kenya Taita Hills 1600 m, Ngangao, Ocinum suave, 03°22'S 38°21'E (I8), 09.iv.2001, leg. J. & W. De Prins "; " Holotype, Cryptaspasma, phycitinana Aarvik ♂, Genital prep. 23011, L. Aarvik "; " MRAC / KMMA 00235 "; specimen ID: RMCA ENT 000004970 (Fig. 21).
Paratype male. Label data (2): " Coll. Mus. Tervuren, Kenya Taita Hills 1600 m, Ngangao, Ocinum suave, 03°22'S 38°21'E (I8), 09.iv.2001, leg. J. & W. De Prins "; " Paratype, Cryptaspasma, phycitinana Aarvik ♂ ". [Not dissected]; specimen ID: RMCA ENT 000004971.
Male genitalia (Fig. 67). Tegumen slender; valva very broad basally, convex before middle dorsally; sacculus distinctly convex beyond base, then concave; cucullus without ventroproximal lobe but with large ventral spines; aedeagus large, tapered terminally.
Remarks. Described from 10 males and 3 females, of which the male holotype and a male paratype are in the collection of RMCA. Seven male and 3 female paratypes are in the collection of the ZMUC and 1 male paratype is in the collection of LAA.
