Description. Male. Body oblong, slightly convex dorsally, shining, closely covered with yellowish-white setae throughout. Body yellowish-brown; antennomeres 5–11, maxillary palpi, and elytra (except for surrounding part of sutures and maculation) blackish-brown; head and hind femora brown; elytral maculation consists of three groups of spots, anterior spots forming broad transverse stripe lying from base to proximal 1/ 3, median ones transverse and situated in proximal 2/3, posterior ones arrow-like and situated in apical portions.

Head moderate in size, slightly convex dorsally, closely covered with fine punctures; clypeus wide, with straight front margin. Eyes moderate in size, prominent; the distance between the eyes ca. 2.0 times as long as the maximum diameter of the eye. Antennae moderate in length, rather stout, reaching ca. proximal 1/4 of elytra; approximate length ratio of antennomeres as (n = 1) 1.8: 1.0: 1.0: 1.4: 1.4: 1.4: 1.2: 1.2: 1.3: 1.2: 1.5. Pronotum transverse, slightly convex dorsally, punctured as on head; front and lateral margins gently arcuate; antero-lateral angles ca. 120º, projecting anteriorly; postero-lateral angles right-angled; posterior marigin gently bisinuate; PW/PL 2.22–2.33 (2.28). Scutellum small, punctured as on head, equilateral-triangular. Elytra oblong, broadest at middle, punctured as on head; shoulder parts weakly elevated; EL/EW 1.37–1.46 (1.41); EL/PL 4.44–4.69 (4.57); EW/PW 1.38–1.46 (1.42); TL/EW 1.67–1.77 (1.72). Legs relatively long. Hind tibial spurs long, closely covered with minute spines; dorsal spurs long, weakly curved laterally, ca. 2.2 times as long as ventral spurs, ca. 0.7 times as long as hind tarsomere 1; ventral spurs curved laterally.

Abdominal sternite broad; sternites III–IV somewhat sparsely covered with short setae; sternites V–VII closely covered with relatively long setae; caudal margin of sternite VII concave. Tergite VIII broad, well sclerotized, covered with fine spines in caudal portion; posterior margin bearing long spines in mesal portion, with short spines in lateral portion; apodemes short and stout, protruding from near antero-lateral corners. Sternite VIII membranous; tergite IX lightly sclerotized, bisinulate in posterior margin, sparsely punctate, with a pair of long and stout apodemes protruding from antero-lateral angles; sternite IX lightly sclerotized, oblong, densely covered with short setae in apical portion. Tegmen well sclerotized, U-shaped, connected with penis in lateral portion; parameres large, outcurved apically, pointed at apices. Penis reduced, not exceeding base of parameres; anterior portion narrow, rod-like.

Female. Unknown.

Measurements. Male (n = 2): TL 3.43–4.10 (3.77) mm; PW 1.40–1.68 (1.54) mm; PL 0.63–0.72 (0.68) mm; EL 2.80–3.38 (3.09) mm; EW 2.05–2.32 (2.19) mm.

Distribution. Borneo Isl. (Sabah).

Etymology. This species is named after Dr. J. Kodada, collector of the holotype.

Notes. Similar to Scirtes malaccanus sp. n., differs in V-shaped apical spot and more contrasting elytral pattern. Aedeagus unique, with long apically outcurved parameres.
