Zeugomantispa Hoffman, 2002

Zeugomantispa Hoffman, 2002: 271; Ohl 2004: 206 (cat.). Type species: Mantis minuta Fabricius, 1775: 278.

Diagnosis: Pronotum completely covered by setae arising from dorsal bumps (best seen in lateral view). Male ectoproct with ventromedial lobe not sclerotized. Gonarcal membrane without scales. Male with pores in membranes between tergites III–V. Hypomere irregular in shape and with granules. Spermatheca widen distally. Female sternite VIII, extremely reduced in ventral and lateral view.

Three species comprise the genus occuring in the New World (Ohl 2004). Zeugomantispa minuta (Fabricius, 1775) occurs from USA to Argentina, but not registered in Brazil. The other two species are exclusively Neotropical and have been reported in Brazil.
