Diagnosis, male. Head moderately pale yellowish brown, unpatterned, with subtle brown postocular band (Fig. 2A, E). Mandibles elongate, dark reddish-brown (Fig. 2A). Antennae filiform, slender, dark brownish to black (Fig. 2A). Genitalia slightly sclerotized; tergite IX short and almost 2X wider posteriorly; tergite X and gonostyli IX long and slender, densely covered with hair and subequal in shape and length (Fig. 2 C–D). Female. Morphologically similar to the male, except for the shorter mandibles (Fig. 2B) and genital characters. Mandibles dark reddish-brown, with three oblique, subequal pre-apical teeth (Fig. 2B).

Distribution. Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil: Acre, Amapá, Amazonas, Bahia, Espírito Santo, Mato Grosso, Pará, Rio Grande do Sul, Roraima, São Paulo, Santa Catarina, Rondônia, Tocantins; Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Venezuela (Ardila-Camacho & Contreras-Ramos 2018; Rafael & Câmara 2020).
