Magnetospheric-Ionospheric-Atmospheric Implications from the Juno Flyby of Ganymede Figure 4
Authors/Creators
Description
We archive here the reduced brightness images of Ganymede's aurora taken with the Juno Ultraviolet Spectrograph (Juno UVS) during the close flybys of Ganymede on Juno orbits 34 and 35. We created two directories for the data. The first contains the images/maps used in production of the figures within the paper (directory named "paper"), while the second contains the maps used in the supplemental material (directory named supplemental). A README file in each directory describes the individual files in more detail.
The brightness images (Rayleighs), latitude (deg), and west longitude (deg) overlays for Figure 2 are saved as IDL save files and FITS formatted files. The brightness image data is the integrated brightness of the 130.4 and 135.6 nm oxygen emission lines. The latitudes and longitudes corresponding to a surface mapping of the data (white contours in the figures) are latitude_surface and west_longitude_surface. The latitudes and longitudes corresponding to a 50 km altitude mapping (50 km altitude surface in red) are latitude_50km and west_longitude_50km. Each pixel in the map corresponds to 0.1x0.1 degree^2 on the sky.
