Fig. 2 in Expanding the nasturlexin family: Nasturlexins C and D and their sulfoxides are phytoalexins of the crucifers Barbarea vulgaris and B. verna

Description

Fig. 2. HPLC-DAD chromatograms of extracts of leaves of winter cress (Barbarea vulgaris) using method B and detection at 220 nm: (A) 24 h post-elicitation with CuCl2; (B) 72 h post-elicitation with CuCl2; (C) 120 h post-elicitation with CuCl2; (D) control (120 h post-spraying with H2O). Peaks of metabolites identified after isolation: tR = 14.6 min, 3-phenylpropanamide (10); tR = 16.8 min, nasturlexin D sulfoxide (7); tR = 21.1 min, nasturlexin C sulfoxide (5); tR = 23.2 min, 3-phenylpropanenitrile (9); tR = 24.9 min, nasturlexin D (6); tR = 32.4 min, nasturlexin C (4); tR = 32.6 min, 3-phenylethyl isothiocyanate (8) (peak at tR = 30.2 min in A remains unknown).
