Creating community-engaged content (part 1): The social and informational roles of community-engaged content

  • 1. ROR icon Center for Scientific Collaboration and Community Engagement

Description

This guidebook introduces community-engaged content and how it can fulfill both social and informational roles in STEM communities. This is the first of a series of three guidebooks and is intended to be used alongside part 2 and part 3, which describe how to package pieces of community-engaged content into communications campaigns, as well as some of the design choices that impact delivery and engagement. We have also created a glossary of terms to complement the guidebook series. Together, these resources support CSCCE's multi-week Content Design (CODE) training course, which explores an integrated and strategic way of designing and delivering content to support the dissemination of information in your community and the engagement of your members around that content.
