Description
The process of injection molding of short fiber reinforced plastic was simulated for 200 plates to evaluate the geometry influence of the components on the local fiber orientation. It was simulated with the software FLUID from Fraunhofer ITWM. The plates had a constant width with varying length, thickness, x- and y- position of the hole and radius of the hole.
The data is structured in the following way: The inlet of the plates were cut off and the information was mapped on a constant grid of 94x146x14 elements. Each plate has a separate csv file. For one plate each grid point has a separate line containing Element-ID, x-coordinate, y-coordinate, z-coordinate, and the six values for the fiber orientation tensor A_xx, A_yy, A_zz, A_yz, A_xz, A_xy.
