Description

Vandykea Linsley, 1932

(Figures 1, 2)

Vandykea Linsley, 1932: 118; 1962: 17; Arnett 1962: 861, 879; Martins et al. 1966: 215; Chemsak and Linsley 1967: 31; Monné 1993: 7 (cat.); Monné and Nearns 2023: 184 (cat.).

Currently, Vandykea has been included in the two subtribes of Oemini: Oemina (Tavakilian and Chevillotte 2022; Monné and Nearns 2023); Methioidina (Bezark 2023b). However, the eyes coarsely faceted and the large lower eye lobes would place this genus in Oemina.
