PRISON LABOR IN AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES IN CHINA AND THE UNITED STATES. ON THE ISSUE OF RE-SOCIALIZATION AND SOCIAL ADAPTATION OF PERSONS SENTENCED TO IMPRISONMENT

The article considers the relationship between the correctional systems of China and the United States and agriculture. The experience of using the labor of convicts in agricultural enterprises (farms, camps) shows not only economic efficiency, but also has a favorable educational effect. However, this experience is criticized by international human rights organizations, as there are quite a large number of facts of illegal use of such labor. But, despite this, many Russian scientists believe that such experience, taking into account our realities and respecting the rights of convicts, can be used in Russia.
