Description

Increasing incident of natural disaster across the world has raised alarm for every
individual, organization, society and nation as a whole to stop exploiting earth’s natural
resources and start conserving it. Every activity of the human emits carbon dioxide and thus
human resource is seen as the critical element that needs to be managed to reduce carbon
emission. This can be effectively achieved through successfully implementing GHRM policies
within bank with the help of their HR managers. Despite of realising the fact that green
organization enjoy enhanced productivity as well as performance through creating green
organization culture; sense of belonging; and commitment among various stakeholders. Still
organizations are not able to successfully implement GHRM policies due to various barriers
like: lack of leadership, employee resistance, lack of green culture, and others. Thus, this
paper aims at summarizing various barriers faced by HR manager in implementing GHRM
policies within the organization.
