ASSESSING PRAGMATIC COMPETENCE

Assessing pragmatic competence is an important aspect of language learning.  assessing pragmatic competence can be done through various methods, including DCTs, sociolinguistic interviews, role-plays, WDCT, natural data observation, and self-assessment. These methods assess the learners' ability to use language appropriately in social contexts and to respond appropriately to different social situations.
