A, C, D - rootlets of Diplothylacus sinensis infiltrating nervous ganglia of the host Portunus pelagicus; B - rootlets of D. sinensis in the nerves originating from the ganglia. 1 - nervous tissue, 2 - ganglion envelope, 3 - rootlets of D. sinensis, 4 - nerve, 5 – hypodermal cell layer in rootlets of type 1, 6 - central lumen in rootlets of type 1, 7 - rootlets enveloped in host's membranous structures.
