Description

Death of Méléagre (1737), Jacques Bergé (1693-1756). Brussels City Museum (Brussels, Belgium). Made with 160 pictures with Zephyr3D Lite from 3DFlow. These three bas-reliefs evoke the Italian affluence, the paintings made for the competitions of the Academy of Rome, which illustrated a number of subjects deriving from mythology or the Old Testament. The contrasting treatment between the plastic and the pictorial aspect is still very much baroque. For more updates, please consider to follow me on Twitter at @GeoffreyMarchal.
