Death of Méléagre
Description
Death of Méléagre (1737), Jacques Bergé (1693-1756). Brussels City Museum (Brussels, Belgium). Made with 160 pictures with Zephyr3D Lite from 3DFlow.
These three bas-reliefs evoke the Italian affluence, the paintings made for the competitions of the Academy of Rome, which illustrated a number of subjects deriving from mythology or the Old Testament. The contrasting treatment between the plastic and the pictorial aspect is still very much baroque.
