GUIDANCE ON DUE-DILIGENT WAR IN NIGERIA: A FORENSIC ACCOUNTING APPROACH TO FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION

PREFACE 

Corruption has become a norm in the society as it is known to be

dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those in power, typically

involving bribery and whenever or wherever it happens it has

great positive effect on the person practicing it while it also has

great negative effect on the majority because in one way or the

other, what is meant for the benefit of all has been taken by one or

more. Therefore, curbing or reducing corruption is very essential

in our society.

To achieve this, there is need to apply forensic knowledge in

detecting and controlling such acts, hence the need for this book on

Forensic accounting and war against corruption in our dear

Nigeria.

This book is made up of three sections (six chapters) in which

section one talk about the introduction to Forensic and corruption,

methodology, concepts of forensic and concepts of forensic

accounting. Section two highlights the concept of corruption,

corruption in Nigeria and fight against corruption while the last

section, expresses the political and financial corruption in Nigeria,

forensic accounting and war against corruption in Nigeria

(Forensic accounting in the fight against corruption in Nigeria) and

also leads to the conclusion and recommendation.

It is of no doubt that this book will be of immense advantage not

only to accounting personnel or financial institutions but to all

citizens as it will enhance our knowledge on how to treat and

handle corruption in any areas of our affairs.
