Description
***Homo habilis ***
Location: Koobi Fora, East Turkana, Kenya.
Age: 1.8 million years ago.
Material: epoxy resin cast.
Dimensions: length, 168 mm; width, 102 mm; height, 110 mm.
Notes: RLA catalog no. 2501.1rp48-1 (cast). Right half of the cranium designated KNM-ER 1470. Discovered in 1972 by B. Ngeneo under team led by Richard Leakey and also classified as *Homo rudolfensis*. Cast manufacturer not known. From the teaching collection of the Research Laboratories of Archaeology, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Model by Aidan Paul.
