Monument roman

The Roman monument is part of the National Firemen Museum's permanent collection. Aurelius Frontonianus was the one who had the monument built in the roman civil settlement in Gherla, in 216 AD, during Caracalla's reign as emperor. The gods were conjured to protect the emperor's health and the urban civilian militia called nocturni, responsible for the public order and for extinguishing the occasional fires.
