Distribution: Eastern Pacific Ocean; from southern Baja California, Mexico, to northern Peru, including the Galapagos islands; entering estuaries and littoral lagoons and ascending river courses; (Nicaragua) PN and Ni (Pacific); 0–5 masl; Per, Dia, Amp. Occurrence and conservation status: Nat; LC (2007), population trend unknown. Literature: Robertson &Allen (2015: 1340; detailed description, including illustrations, and information on distribution, with a map, and ecology) and Angulo (2021: 65; listed, including information on distribution).
