Distribution: Eastern Pacific Ocean; from southern Baja California, Mexico, to Costa Rica; entering estuaries and littoral lagoons and ascending river courses; (Nicaragua) ER, PN and Ni (Pacific); 0–11 masl; Per, Dia, Amp. Occurrence and conservation status: Nat; LC (2010), population trend unknown.
