Distribution: Central America; from southern Nicaragua to western Panama,Atlantic and Pacific drainages; (Nicaragua) To, Sa, SJ, RF, LN (Atlantic), Ne, ER, PN and Ni (Pacific); 0–710 masl; Pri, Pot. Occurrence and conservation status: Nat; LC (2020), population trend stable.
