Oxyothespis brevipennis Beier, 1930

Oxyothespis brevipennis Beier, 1930: 448.

Type locality. Makongo, Ghana.

Distribution. Ivory Coast, Ghana (Beier 1930; Gillon & Roy 1968; Ragge & Roy 1967; Roy & Leston 1975).

Records. CSC: ♁, new station, 22.IV.–06.VI.2018, M. Pohl leg. (genitalia preparation Schwarz No. 481); ♁, new station, 22.IV.–06.VI.2018, M. Pohl leg.; ♁, new station, 22.IV.–01.VI.2019, M. Pohl leg. (genitalia preparation Schwarz No. 498).

Remarks. In contrast to the more northerly O. longipennis Chopard 1941, which also occurs in Ivory Coast (Roy & Leston 1975), this graminicolous species prefers Guinea savanna.
