Vouchers: (other collections) PSU 82 (5), 3383 (2), 3386 (5) and 3386.1 (1). Distribution: Central America; endemic to the Lago Xiloá, Nicaragua; (Nicaragua) LN (Atlantic); 45– 45 masl; Sec, Pot. Occurrence and conservation status: Nat, End; VU D2 (2020), population trend stable. Literature: Stauffer & McKaye (2002: 12; original description), Stauffer et al. (2008: 117; comparative morphological data and information on distribution) and Recknagel et al. (2013: 209; comparative morphological data, including an identification key, and information on distribution).
