Vouchers: UCR 0482-002 (1); other collections: UF 141441 (1) and 142445 (1). Distribution: Eastern Pacific Ocean; from San Diego Bay, California, USA, to Peru; entering estuaries and littoral lagoons and ascending river courses; (Nicaragua) PN and Ni (Pacific); 0–5 masl; Per, Dia, Amp. Occurrence and conservation status: Nat; LC (2010), population trend unknown. Literature: Villa (1982: 229, as Gobionellus sagittula —synonym; detailed description, including illustrations and an identification key, and information on distribution and ecology), Robertson & Allen (2015: 2103; detailed description, including illustrations, and information on distribution, with a map, and ecology) and Angulo (2021: 37; listed, including information on distribution).
