Specimen examined. PERU. Apurimac: Abancay, Tamburco, Abancay, Ampay National Sanctuary, canal dam, 3124 m, 13º35′56”S, 72º52′44”W, 20 Apr 2016, bark of tree alive, Lado 24572 (MA-Fungi 95849).
Notes. The Peruvian material seems to constitute an infrequent form of the species, with the columella exceeding half of the height of the sporotheca (Fig. 4A), while forms with short or lacking columella usually predominate (Martin & Alexopoulos 1969).
