Roadmap of ALMA in Event Horizon Telescope Observations

The transformative science enabled by the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) Observations has revealed the images of two supermassive black hole shadows (SMBH), SgrA and M87*. These results are the foundation for our attempt in expanding this study to SMBHs in nearby Universe with the ultimate objective of constraining the nature of accretion flows and test the precision of General Relativity and alternate models to the best possible extent. We thus explain the approach taken to study the opacity of accretion flows in nearby AGNs while in parallel trying to prepare for deep EHT observations.
