St. Cummin's Holy Well - Oughterard Co. Galway
Description
St. Cummins Holy well is located in the townland of Lemmonfield in Oughterard Co. Galway. An ash tree near the well is said to have provided a cure to Cholera during the 1832 outbreak, when local people would peel off the bark. Records show that local people would take a hats off and make a slight bow to the well.
