Description
Ancient Egyptian glazed faience sculpture of the goddess Sekhmet, 1320-656 BCE, now in the collection of the Minneapolis Institute of Art. She's depicted here with the head of a lioness and the body of a woman, and she was known as the goddess of war and the protector of the throne.
