Cockleroy

NS 98975 74356. Cockleroy Hill Fort South of Linlithgow, Scotland This is a possible cup marked stone although hollows may be natural. This stone is on the footpath 45 M S of the summit of Cockleroy which is the site of a hillfort. Stone is where the pathway cuts the ruinous stone wall enclosure. Canmore 48000 - The fort, or "walled enclosure" on the summit of Cockleroy, a most conspicuous, rugged and precipitous hill, consists of a heavy, ruinous stone wall enclosing an area 410' in length by 200' wide. The entrance is in the SE. The NW end of the fort is further protected by an outer wall.
