Distribution. Nearctic, recorded from A/S (Klimaszewski et al. 2021). Canada: AB, BC, LB, MB, NB, NF, NS, ON, QC, SK. USA: MI, MO, NH, NY, OR.
Collection and Habitat data. In NH reported from Mt. Washington in July. In Canada (BC) adults taken from various traps in 3–5-year-old post-harvest Douglas fir forest, in transition zone of Sitka spruce forest, in mixed Populus / Salix / Alnus and Pinus banksiana forests, under red oak in red oak forest (Klimaszewski and Winchester 2002a, Webster at al. 2009, Klimaszewski et al. 2018).
Material. USA, New Hampshire, Coos Co.: Mt. Washington summit, 29.VII.1957, Becker, Munroe & Mason (1, CNCI, Klimaszewski et al. 2005b). Oregon, Lane Co.: H.J. Andrews Exp. Forest, nr clearcut 502, 2000’, 13.V.1983, D.S. Chandler, sift alder litter & rotten wood, 2 sex?
Comments. Before 2002 this species was often identified as Z. haworthi in North American collections (Klimaszewski et al. 2018).
