Description

Phenacoccus solani Ferris, 1918

Taxonomy. Phenacoccus solani Ferris 1918: 60. Type data. U.S.A.: California on Hemizonia rudis.

Hosts in Egypt. Cucurbita sp. (Dewer et al. 2018).

Distribution in Egypt. Rosetta (Dewer et al. 2018).

Remarks. This is a very polyphagous, cosmopolitan species known to occur in Egypt since 2018.
