Description
Myennis octopunctata (Coquebert, 1798)
Material examined. Rif: Oued Amsa, 29.ix.2019, 1♀. Haut Atlas: Indahen, 22.v.2.22, 1♀, sweeping (El Harym) (LESCB).
Distribution. Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, Britain, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Greece, Romania, Lithuania, Ukraine, Russia and Israel (Kameneva & Greve 2011; Freidberg & Morgulis 2011). Iran (Mohamadzade Namin et al. 2012; Almeida 2013; Lutovinovas & Davenis 2020; Ebejer & Nicolosi 2022). Morocco (first record). The first record from North Africa.
Biology. Larvae saprophagous under the bark of poplars (Kameneva & Korneyev 2006: 246).
