HOSTS OF LABIDOSTOMIS SPECIES OF TÜRKİYE (CHRYSOMELIDAE: CLYTRINAE)
Authors/Creators
Description
The Chrysomelidae family is known for its phytophagous feeding habit. (Clark vd., 2004). Practically all adult leaf beetles eat leaves, flowers or roots, and many species are of economic value as food crops, tree/shrub plantations, medical herbs (ginseng), and fodder crops; however, many can be beneficial as biological control agents against weeds. (Booth et al., 1990; Mirzoeva, 2001, Jolivet and Verma, 2002). The majority of species are specialized in their food preferences (van Dyk, 2006).
