Description

The AER solar models were created by merging the lower resolution NRLSSI2 Solar Spectral Irradiance (SSI) model (Coddington et al., 2015) with high resolution data  from Kurucz and Toon. NRLSSI2 provides three parameters for calculating solar variability: quiet Sun, facular brightening and sunspot darkening.  The AER model has two files: one contains spectral values of  the SSI averaged over the solar cycle, the other spectral values of each the three terms. Both files are in netCDF format.
