NATURAL CONDITIONS OF ACTIVITY OF WARSAW WATER SPORTS SOCIETIES IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE XIX - EARLY XX CENTURY

The article deals with the natural conditions of the Warsaw River Yacht Club and the Warsaw Rowing Society in the second half of the XIX-th - early XX-th centuries. One of the activities of the water sports societies of the Warsaw Governor General's Office was trips on the Vistula River. The picturesque views of the nature of the Prywisląskie region were of great importance. In addition, the location of the main buildings and marinas of the Warsaw River Yacht Club and the Warsaw Rowing Society played a decisive role in attracting new fans of water sports to the ranks of water sports societies of the Warsaw Governor General's Office.
