Dust Formation in Common Envelope Binary Interaction — I: 3D Simulations Using the Bowen Approximation
Description
Data from a binary stellar system with a late phase asymptotic giant branch (AGB) donor star + 0.6 solar mass companion. Related to the publication Gonzalez-Bolivar et al (2023) "Dust Formation in Common Envelope Binary Interaction — I: 3D Simulations Using the Bowen Approximation"; for more details, see https://arxiv.org/abs/2306.16609.
The data format is the Phantom native data format with the version described in the included phantom_version files. For more details on Phantom, see: https://doi.org/10.1017/pasa.2018.25.
There are 4 models. Two models with a 1.7 solar mass donor star, one using an ideal gas equation of state and the other one using a tabulated equation of state (EoS) implemented by the MESA grid code for stellar evolution models. The initial snapshots of these simulations are labeled as 2i_00000 and 2m_00000. Similarly, for the 3.7 solar mass donor star binaries, we use the same nomenclature: 4i_00000 and 4m_00000 for ideal and recombination EoS, respectively.
Files with .in extension have all simulation parameters. For relevance to the publication is the section in the 2m.in and 4m.in files:
