DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF IoT-BASED LIBRARY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Description
This project combines the basic knowledge of hardware and software to achieve its desired goals. The ever-growing demand for automated solutions has made the Internet of Things (IoT) one of the most important solutions in the field of technology. The smart solution is becoming very useful in our environments today as it keeps changing, the working environment setup transitions from dumb systems to smart solutions have made IoT an important technology as this project is concerned. This project focuses on the design and construction of IoT-based library management system. This will combine both hardware and software resources to achieve its goals. Technology-dependent systems are taking over most of the manual management systems in our world today. Technology-driven devices are becoming the best choice of most organizations because of the way they use the Data-Information-Knowledge-Wisdom (DIKW) hierarchy or pyramid to handle the logical structure of any designed architecture. Most information management-related businesses now use systems with DIKW models to meet the most demanding practical tasks involving information. The proposed system is based on IoT which will enable both wireless and offline communication between a set of hardware devices and web-based software that runs on a local host. This IoT-based library management enables easy searching and locating of books within the library shelves because indicating Light Emitting Diode (LED) is attached to each row on each shelf to minimize the stress of checking many shelves or many rows before the book of choice can be located.
