The Gaia astrometric space mission and its deliveries
Description
"The Gaia space mission started scientific operations in Jul 2014 and the first data release was made in Sep 2016. The main goal is the determination of positions and motions for one billion stars with unprecedented precision for the understanding of the history and evolution of the Milky Way. We will give an overview of the Gaia mission, with focus on its repercussion for ground based astrometry."
