THE SOCIAL AND DOMESTIC LIFE OF DISPLACED PERSONS AND THEIR LOCATION IN THE VILLAGES AND SETTLEMENTS OF TURKESTAN AT THE END OF THE 19TH AND THE BEGINNING OF THE 20TH CENTURY
Authors/Creators
Description
It is based on periodical press materials to reveal the resettlement of people from the Russian Empire to Turkestan in the late 19th - early 20th centuries and their socio-economic life, the regions where Russian settlements and settlements were established, and the relations between the Slavic and local people who lived in these regions. It was determined that the government's measures related to the creation of "empty land funds" for those displaced to Turkestan at the expense of fertile land and pastures were one of the main factors that caused the discontent of the local population. It is proved that the purpose was to strengthen the colonial rule.
