On similarity related the genetic code

We consider a few kinds of distance for description of (dis)similarity in the genetic code. We point out relevance of ultrametrics, and especially p-adic distance, for modeling the genetic code and investigation of similarity between sequences of nucleotides, codons or amino acids.
