Classical Stern-Gerlach
Description
We show how atomic beam splitting is a classical phenomenon. In particular, we mathematically demonstrate how the magnetic Lorentz force actually forcefully causes the classical magnetic splitting of the beam of neutral magnetic silver atoms, in the world-famous 1922 magnetic silver-atom beam-splitting experiment of Otto Stern and Walther Gerlach.
