Thìs article analyzes new samples of compactum wheat (T compactum Host.) collected from the territory of
the Nakhchìvan Autonomous Republic during four expeditions within 2 years (2012-2013) Along with other
species, l13 samples of compactum wheat belonging to the groups of varieties comvar. rigidicompactum,
covar. inflatumn and convar.compactum were collected from various parts of AR. The majority of samples
(92.1%) bclonged to specieş var. splendidorigidum, var. fetissovù, var. asiaticicterinum, var. erinaceum Ct.
which are a subgroup subconvar. rigidicompactum. The main purpose was the creation of the initial selection
material, genetic resource and donors for bread and compactum wheat to gain resistance against biotie and
abiotic stress factors, high productivity and grain quality.
