Dataset for "System-level Impacts of Voluntary Carbon-free Electricity Procurement Strategies"

This is the full dataset for "System-level Impacts of Voluntary Carbon-free Electricity Procurement Strategies." It includes zip files containing model input and results data for all cases referenced in the paper. Cases are named under the following conventions:

• The case name begins with either "CA" or "WYCO", indicating that it focuses on participating voluntary demand in the California region or the Wyoming & Colorado region, respectively.
• Cases containing "_ncp_" are baseline cases with no participation in voluntary carbon-free electricity procurement. 
• Cases containing "_100apa_" model 100% volumetric matching. 
• Cases containing "_100s_" model 100% emissions matching. 
• Cases containing "_##h_" model ##% temporal matching. 
• Cases containing "_##ci_" model ##% of local C&I demand participating in the given voluntary procurement strategy.
• Cases containing "adv" and "noccszcf" are those with "Advanced Technologies, No Combustion"
• Cases containing "adv" but not "noccszcf" are those with "Advanced Technologies, Full Portfolio"
• Cases containing neither "adv" nor "noccszcf" are those with "Established Technologies"
• Cases containing "noexcess" are those where no excess sales are permitted
• Cases containing "unlimex" are those where unlimited excess sales are permitted
• Cases containing "CES80" are those with a system-wide 80% clean electricity standard

In addition to input and results files, this dataset also includes the source code for the version of the GenX electricity system optimization model used to run the cases. Finally, it includes csv files containing the 8760-hour profiles for total demand and C&I demand before time domain reduction was applied.
