Current State Of Helminthofauna Of Canids (Canidae) In Azerbaijan
Description
Under the influence of antropogenic factors feeding areas of wild animals have recently been narrowed.
Thus, wild animals searching food, transfer from their natural habitats to sinantropous habitats and distribute
helminth eggs. This causes helminth exchange between two habitats through wild animals. So sinantropous
as well as natural helminths are included in the helminthofauna of animals. In the paper the current
assessment of helmintofauna of canids of Azerbaijan is provided, including 7 previously not recorded
species, and also 5 infection centers and, 12 species which are of significant eptzoological and
epidemiological importance.
