Description
A species-rich assemblage of Coleoptera was found in a heap of grain remains in Kozłówki near Kietrz (S Poland). Among 73 species recorded, the majority are synanthropes, including those known as pests of stored grain products. Two species, Acritus komai (Histeridae) and Phacophallus pallidipennis (Staphylinidae), are new for the fauna of Poland. This is also the first precisely known locality of Megalinus flavocinctus (Staphylinidae) in Poland; previously the species was recorded generally from Poland without exact collecting data.
