Description
ABSTRACT
This research aims to strengthen the concept of memorabilia by identifying its typologies and exhibition formats, as well as exploring its evolution over time and contemporary configurations. The Casa Kubitschek Museum, located in the Pampulha region of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, will serve as the basis for the investigation. The research aims to understand the world of objects and their possibilities in the arts, exploring their ability to arouse senses and evoke memories and perceptions through the compositional elements present in their materiality. Additionally, the investigation seeks to understand the recurring systemic actions in cultural spaces that use memorabilia as an exhibition strategy. The research will also cover the modernist movement and its influence on arts, architecture, and design, both globally and in Brazil. From the works of pioneers to the construction of the Modernist Project in Pampulha and later Brasília, the Brazilian design and its importance in the Casa Kubitschek Museum's collection will also be investigated. To achieve these objectives, the methodological procedures will include bibliographic research, curatorial practices, collecting, and narratives that allow for aesthetic enjoyment. The research is structured based on concepts and the collection of objects in the spaces of arts, memories, and, more specifically, museums.
