Description
Moitessieria canfalonensis sp. nov (Gastropoda: Moitessieriidae), a new stygobiont species from Monistrol de Calders (Barcelona, NE Iberian Peninsula.).—A new moitessieriid species (Mollusca: Gastropoda) is described from a spring of Monistrol de Calders (el Moianès, northeastern Iberian Peninsula) on the basis of conchological material obtained by sediment screening: Moitessieria canfalonensis sp. nov. A unique combination of conchological characteristics distinguishes the new taxon from other species of genus Moitessieria Bourguignat, 1863.
