Description

The Metadata Harvester is a component for harvesting metadata made available by third parties using the Open Archives Initiatives Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH).

The CESSDA Data Catalogue (CDC) harvests metadata from various endpoints. The different flavours of DDI XML provided by the endpoints are mapped to a standard format (the CESSDA Metadata Model, CMM).

The main components of the CESSDA Data Catalogue are: Searchkit; Consumer Indexer; CMV Console; Metadata Harvester.
