DISPATCHER TRAINING SIMULATOR ARCHITECTURE ANALYSIS AND OVERVIEW OF POWER FLOW TECHNIQUES
Authors/Creators
Description
The paper starts off with an analysis of an actual distributed control system for medium voltage networks. Then, communication pathway performance analysis for monitoring and telecontrol is given. Next, the most common substation types are described, in respect to the types of the employedprotective devices. In the following section, a comparative analysis between the chosen architecture and the system equivalent architecture is presented. This includesprocess block diagrams as well as the data exchange diagram. Finally, an overview of popular power flow methods and techniques is given. In addition, advantages and disadvantages of the techniques are mentioned. Specifically, attention is given to the techniques for solving unbalanced radial distribution networks.
