Survey Data on Biomass Communities (Greece, Spain, Poland, Italy) – BECoop project

Activity Description:

In this initiative, a translated survey was disseminated through social media and e-mails with the goal of garnering 100 responses per country from a diverse range of stakeholders and the general public.

Purpose of the Surveys:

A comprehensive questionnaire was developed with the primary aim of identifying the perceptions, needs, barriers, and misconceptions affecting the market adoption of community bioenergy at pilots' levels (Greece, Spain, Poland, Italy). The survey sought to gain a nuanced understanding of stakeholders' and the general public's perspectives, ultimately contributing to informed decision-making and policy formulation in this vital domain.

The questionnaire (already used in an EU level study) underwent translation into the languages pertinent to the pilot regions: Greek, Italian, Polish, Spanish, and Basque. This multi-lingual approach was pivotal in ensuring effective communication with the target audiences. The translated survey was subsequently implemented online through a GDPR-compliant EU survey platform.

The dissemination of the survey was spearheaded by the pilot teams, engaging both the general public and stakeholders from the respective regions. The objective was to secure 100 responses per pilot case. The survey promotion phase was carried out from April to June 2021, utilizing the BECoop project's extensive networks, social media accounts, websites, and communication channels.
