Dîwân-i-Hilâlî (ديوان هلالى).

Lyrical poems of Maulânâ Badr-aldîn Hilâlî of Astarâbâd, who was put to death by order of ‘Abdallâhkhân (so in the Âtashkada and Sprenger, correctly ‘Ubaid-allâhkhân) Uzbeg at Harât, A.H. 939 (A.D. 1532, 1533); this date is given by the poet’s intimate friend Sâm Mirzâ, and in the Âtashkada, No. 81 (col. 265 in the Bodleian Cat.), comp. also Haft Iḳlîm, No. 1170 (col. 466 in this Cat.). Almost all the other tadhkiras fix Hilâli’s death in A.H. 936 (A.D. 1529, 1530); see, for instance, Safînah, No. 60 (col. 213 in the Bodelian Cat.); Khazâna-i-’âmirah, No. 131 (ib. col. 260); Khulâṣat-alkalâm, No. 77 (ib. col. 301), etc.; and comp. Hilâli’s dîwân consists of ghazals, arranged alphabetically, and a few ḳiṭ’as and rubâ’îs at the end.
